Mom on Lowvalley
Welcome! It’s very nice to meet you! Or at least your digital footprint ;-). Mom on Lowvalley offers family resources and faith-based connection for moms in all stages of parenting.
Meet the Author

Hey, I’m Sarah Beth! Author and creator of Mom on Lowvalley. Here’s what I bring to this blog:
- 18+ years of parenting
- 18+ years of homemaking
- 5+ years of homeschooling
- A lifelong journey in Faith
I have been blessed as a wife, a mom of three, and a stepmom to three more. We live in a quaint, small town that sits at the start of the foothills, on Lowvalley Court. I created this blog as a resource for moms who, like me, are trying to balance motherhood, homeschooling, and homemaking with faith and grace.
My Witness
Even if you have been banished to the most distant land under the heavens, from there the LORD your God will gather you and bring you back.
Deuteronomy 30:4 NIV
I banished myself from my faith for a decade of my life. I rejected it and ran from it. I had grown up in church but as an adult I still didn’t understand God or His Love. I searched in so many dark corners for answers. I became the stereotypical on-the-fence agnostic/atheist, that was on a mission to disprove the God I barely believed in.
But God found me and he brought me back. And honestly, I didn’t see it coming. In hindsight, I now see all the beautiful, broken pieces of my life that he crafted together leading me to that moment.
It has taken me a long time to be able to articulate what it felt like when God called me back to Him. In that moment, I acknowledged that I had a choice to make but at the same time, I understood that there was only one option. How could I not choose Him? My Father, my Creator, the Breathe in my lungs.
Even in that moment, I still didn’t understand God. I didn’t understand what it fully meant to choose Him. I didn’t understand where that choice would take me. I didn’t know what was next. But my understanding wasn’t required, my obedience was.
For Christians, we all remember the moment we gave our life back to God. The joy. The peace. The love. It’s Heavenly.
Then, our sanctification begins.
My faith journey the last four years led to every area of my life coming under fire. Through it all, all I wanted was to be closer to Him. I prayed, I surrendered, I cried and cried some more. I was being refined and it felt like I was breaking.
God was claiming every part of my life. He broke the parts of me that didn’t trust Him. He broke the parts of me that didn’t reflect Him. He broke away all the things that never belonged to a child of God. And I had a lot of breaking to do.
And then, God made me new.
I found my joy and peace in Him and I know with my whole heart, that even though I fail sometimes, He walks with me. Faithfully and lovingly.
“You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in you.”
St. Augustine of Hippo
The purpose of this blog is rooted in my faith. I created it to share the Gospel and encourage others. I want everyone to know that He can rescue you and bring you back. He is the Good Shepherd and I was the one gone astray. Let him find you too.
I pray this for everyone.
With love & blessings,
