One of the first things I googled when I started planning lessons for my son was preschool monthly theme calendars. I found several calendars that I pulled ideas from and it was so helpful in our homeschool planning. After 2 years of theme planning in our homeschool, I created our own theme calendar that we love and I wanted to share it for FREE. So, if you’re googling a preschool monthly themes calendar like I was, I’m glad you landed here and I hope you find this resource helpful.
This calendar is preschool through first grade friendly!
How to use my preschool monthly themes calendar
First, you’ll need to scroll to the bottom of this post to the download link. Download the file, print, or save to your device. If you’ve already started your school year, that okay! It’s never too late to implement themes. Themes can be used weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. We use some themes weekly and others bi-weekly.
Next, for planning time, you can use the theme calendar to plan Theme Based Lessons OR a Theme Focus Subject. Here’s what I mean. Whichever you choose, you’ll need a book list and project list too!
Using a theme can help organize your school year faster and reduce stress. Yes, I said reduce stress! If you have a theme calendar for the entire year planned, you are already a step ahead in planning for the WHOLE YEAR.
